Clothing and PPE
The weather can be changeable and our countryside locations are exposed.
You need to bring:
A waterproof hooded jacket, waterproof over trousers and warm clothing.
Lots of layers as you will soon warm up on colder days! (and cool down when we take a break).
Sun block and a sun hat for all times of the year.
Steel toe cap boots or strong hiking boots with ankle protection.
Durable work wear.
Gloves: we recommend two types of gloves, the blue knitted wrist nitra style or the rubber coated builders gloves, please see photographs attached.
Safety glasses or goggles for some or all of this activity are recommended.
In some extreme weather circumstances it may be necessary for safety reasons to cancel all or part of the course. This is out of our control but if less than 50% of the course is completed you will be offered an alternative date/venue. If severe weather is forecast then please phone us prior to travelling.
Refreshments and Lunch
Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit are included.
A complimentary locally sourced lunch is provided on both days and this may consist of homemade vegetarian hot soup with bread, a ploughmans (or wallers!) style lunch with cheese/quiche and pork pie/ham, and cake. (Subject to change).
Allergy advice, food intolerances & dietary requirements:
As we are in open countryside locations it is not possible to cater for any special dietary requirements other than vegetarian. We apologise for any inconvenience and would ask that under these circumstances you provide your own lunch, we will then offer a good will discount.
Whilst we take care to preserve the integrity of our vegetarian products, we must advise that these products are handled in a multi-ingredient kitchen environment. We cannot guarantee all of our meals are GM free. All dishes are prepared in an environment that may NOT be free from nuts, seeds, wheat, dairy, fish, gluten or lactose, therefore all dishes may contain traces of these and other allergens.
Bring your favourite snacks or drinks.
